Plan a Paid-For Christmas, Join the Christmas Club
Die cut holiday card in the shape of a bell with a string attached at top as an advertisement for the Bank of Madison to "Join the Christmas Club" so you can "Plan a Paid-for Christmas." Santa Claus is holding a large sized check made out to "Thrifty Americans $350,000,000" for "Three hundred and fifty million dollars." Two children dressed for the outdoors and their dog are standing to the right of Santa Claus. A green bag to Santa's left appears to contain passbooks or money. In a yellow box at the bottom, the text reads: "Classes 25c to $10.00, Bank of Madison, Gay Building, Madison, Wisconsin." Below that is the F.D.I.C. symbol. Opposite side (not shown), is a red bell with candles, a bell, ribbons and holly. "Merry Christmas" is on the bell in white. Printed by lithography. |
