Hard Times Have Had a Dreary Stay
Holiday card of a hobo in a jacket and hat seated in front of a campfire, warming his hands. His bundle of belongings is on a stick by his side. His footprints in the snow lead from the railroad tracks in the background. A train is chugging across the horizon, trailing smoke from the smokestack. Text on the bottom half reads: "Hard times have had - a dreary stay, Can't last forever - must go away, Let's forget 'em - just today, Have a cheery Christmas anyway. Ern and Ode." Black ink and watercolor by hand. |
