Waist-up seated studio portrait of Erick Larsen [as written on Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20 “Red Books” and in the Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers, Volume 1; also written as: Erick Larson in the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20 “Blue Books.”], a private in Company G, 15th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform with musket across his chest. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. On December 04, 1861 he enlisted in Dodgeville, Wisconsin and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on December 13, 1861, at the age of 30. He was killed in action from a gunshot through the head at Altoona Mountain, near New Hope Church, Georgia on May 27, 1864. |
