Joseph of Arimathea was a wealthy man who offered his garden for the burial of Jesus. A Roman solder on horseback speaks to a gathering of men. Text at right: "Wanderings Among the Wonders and Beauties of Western Scenery." |

This sterograph was taken in a series of 15 photographs of a Cyclorama of the Crucifixion. This cyclorama exhibited at the World's Columbian Exposition. The text on the stereograph refers to the exhibit as the "Chicago Panorama of the Crucifixion." The Cyclorama is very similar in appearance to the "Jerusalem on the Day of the Crucifixion" by Bruno Piglhein. |
