A newspaper clipping printed Thursday, October, 1937, accompanying the photograph reads "Berger Honored by Magicians. Ben Berger, Madison magician, has been elected an honorary member of the Chicago assembly of the Society of American Magicians, he was notified today. The honor was given him 'in appreciation of your services at the national conference,'the notification letter said."
