Torger Larson
Full-length cabinet card portrait in front of a painted backdrop of Torger Larson, a private in Company H, 15th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform holding a musket next to a prop baluster and railing. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Deerfield, Wisconsin. On February 9, 1864, he was enlisted into service in Madison and on February 16, 1864, he was mustered into service at the age of 19. On March 31, 1964, he joined Company H as a recruit at Strawberry Plaines, Tennessee. On May 27, 1864, he was wounded during the battle at New Hope Church, Georgia. On June 10, 1865, he was transferred to Company I, 13th Wisconsin Infantry. He was mustered out of service on May 10, 1865, in Davenport, Iowa by authority from the War Department, Army General Order dated May 3, 1865. |
