Francis Shirbroun delivers mail to a mailbox in a Farmall A tractor that has been fitted with a homemade cab for delivering mail. The cab has a "FARMALL" decal as well as a "U.S. MAIL" decal. The original caption reads: "Francis Shirbroun, Coon Rapids, Iowa delivers mail over a rural route of 51 miles with 195 boxes. When the roads are bad Farmall A covers it in 5 1/2 to 6 hours on not over 6 gallons of fuel." |
