Waist-up seated oval studio portrait of Ole T. Westby, a private in Company K, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He held residence in Bad Ax, Wisconsin. On December 24, 1861 he enlisted in La Crosse, Wisconsin and was mustered into service on February 13, 1861, in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 22. He was wounded slightly in the arm during fighting near Lovejoy, Georgia on September 4, 1864. He mustered out with Company K on February 13, 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
