Ole Thompson
Three-quarter length oval portrait of Ole Thompson, a corporal in Company K, 14th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 45: He resided in Winneshiek, Iowa. On January 17, 1862, he enlisted in Winneshiek, Iowa and on February 11, 1862, he was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 21. From November 1862 to August 1864, he was detached from K Company, serving with the Pioneer Corps. He was appointed corporal on October 1, 1864. He was mustered out of service with K Company on February 10, 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
