Description: Color lithograph poster. Title runs across top with author's name, William Gillette, under it in upper right corner. Scene depicts a well-dressed woman standing before a military officer seated behind a table. The caption reads: "I know some things that you don't!" The scene depicted from Gillette's popular melodrama is just prior to the play's famous telegraph office scene, which was lauded as one of the best-written in the history of American theatre. Here, we see Gillette as Captain Thorne.
