Information:
"A Social Session- Which will be at the Academy next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, will give Halifax the first opportunity of witnessing a first class farce comedy. It has no pretensions to plot, but is simply to amuse and is extremely laughable. Songs, dances and instrumental music introduced. D. J. Sprague, the manager, occupied the same position with Alvin Joslin when the latter visited Halifax. The Military Hussar Band, which is with the Social Session Company, includes all the best performers at Alvin Joslin’s band, which made such a success when here, and has been strengthened by several famous soloists, forming one of the finest bands on the road." Halifax (Nova Scotia) Acadian Recorder, 28 August 1890.
