Title: Middle East Study Team
Description: Members of a special House Appropriations Committee mission to the Middle East at the airport in Jerusalem. The committee was headed by Congressman David R. Obey of Wisconsin, chair of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee. Obey and his wife are on the first step of the stairs. Also on the tour were Congressman Matthew McHugh, (directly behind Obey) and Congressman Thomas Petri of Wisconsin (behind McHugh). Above Petri, in the white jacket is Robert Kastenmeier, another Wisconsin congressman.
