Diagrammatic Map Showing the Established Limits of Land Grants Made to Various Railroads in Wisconsin
This manuscript map shows the limits of the land grants made to railroads in northwestern Wisconsin along the corridor between Portage and Hudson, along the corridor between Hudson and Ashland, and along the corridor between Superior and Ashland. The map was certified in 1875 by the commissioner of the General Land Office, S.S. Burdett. A statement about the withdrawals of land for sale between 1856 and 1866 is included. |
