Title: Candidates Debate
Description: Republican Congressman Alvin O'Konski (left) and Democrat David R. Obey (right) during a break in their campaign debate. Because of redistricting after the 1970 census, during which Wisconsin lost a seat in Congress, Obey and O'Konski were forced to run against each other. The moderator was Lee Sherman Dreyfus, (standing in the middle) then the chancellor of UW-Stevens Point.
