Map or Atlas
Plat of the Milwaukee and Rock River Canal
A map of the proposed route of the Milwaukee and Rock River Canal from Fort Atkinson on the Rock River in the west to the city of Milwaukee and Lake Michigan in the west. It shows townships and ranges, sections for portions of Jefferson and Milwaukee counties, as well as identifying a number of rivers, lakes, and streams, some of which include Branch, Fox/Pishtaka rivers, Johnson’s run, and Oak and Kinickinic creeks. In addition, the map provides a profile of the map showing the elevation of the route above the level of Lake Michigan. |
