Title: Trunk of Car and House
Description: A car trunk in the foreground frames a house in the background in this image taken by a civil rights volunteer.

"House in background is used by twenty-five persons, including Ernestine Bishop, who helped us in canvassing Summit, and her three children. Twenty-two other persons, including her mother, live in this house. A well for water has been dug in the back yard but it seems dangerously close to the outside latrine."
