Title: Lodge Hall
Description: Lodge Hall on Highway 98, photographed by a civil rights volunteer.

"Another picture of the Lodge Hall, Summit, the site of our first freedom meetings. [...] The first two freedom meetings by the Negro community of Summit were held in the above building. For the first time as a public group, we sang freedom songs, talked about freedom, and planned for action. By such collective action, the individual is better able to eliminate his own fears and to begin the real fight for freedom for himself and others."
