Oregon Business Section and Water Tower
View across road of the central business section. The commerical buildings along the sidewalk include a printer, butcher, barber and jeweler. Above the shops are offices. The year "1898" is marked on the upper center of the facade above the office windows. On the right just behind the shops is a building with a bell tower, and rising high above and behind the storefronts is a water tower on the left. In front of the meat market on the sidewalk is a scale with the words "Howe U.S. Standard." |
