Bruce Allison pieces together a unique literary mosaic of trees from every corner of the state. Including everything from hanging trees to Indian trail marker trees and surveyors' trees, "Every Root an Anchor" "is a must read for those who love trees and the outdoors or simply like good stories," says Mike Dombeck, Chief Emeritus of the U.S. Forest Service.
"Every Root an Anchor" reminds us how intricately trees are woven into our social fabric. They are anchors for time-honored family and community customs, contributing indelibly to our sense of place. This beautiful book will touch everyone from green thumbs to environmentalists, from nature lovers to history fiends.
