Author Biographies
Marjorie L. McLellan is associate professor of History and American Studies at Miami University, Middletown, Ohio. With George A. Talbot and the staff of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, she researched and produced the NEH-funded exhibit "Six Generations Here ... A Family Remembers" (1982). Kathleen Neils Conzen has been a professor of American History at the University of Chicago since 1991. She is the author of "Immigrant Milwaukee, 1836-1860: Acccomodation and Community in a Frontier City."
