Office of School Services Recall: Destination Wisconsin
As we are all aware from news announcements and direct notification, sometimes a manufacturer needs to recall a faulty product. Unfortunately, we found several mistakes on various posters in the Destination Wisconsin poster set, only after it was published and distributed. If you have already purchased a copy, we have a free replacement copy for you.
We know that you expect the State Historical Society to present an accurate historical account, and we take pride in bringing you as perfect a final product as possible. We were truly dismayed to have published something with multiple errors. We've corrected the text in question, and reproduced the art in two new colors to help differentiate the original set from the new one.
- If you haven't yet ordered a set, simply contact our distributor in Chicago and order the materials as usual.
- If you ordered the set after July 1, you know that it has been on hold, and you will receive the correct copy soon (if you haven't already.)
- If you already have purchased Destination Wisconsin, fold the envelope and mail it back to the Office of School Services, (NOT the Chicago Distribution Center) at State Historical Society of Wisconsin, 816 State Street, Madison 53706. You must include your name, school, and mailing address.
- If you are attending any of our conferences in October, we will have replacement copies available and will conduct the exchange in person. It's that simple!
