By the Waters of Turtle Lake: Angie Kumlien Main (1883 - 1952) was a popular nature writer and ornithologist who lived in and wrote about Jefferson County. This short piece contains no history, strictly speaking, but is a lyrical appreciation of the seasons at Turtle lake, in Albion Township, Dane County. (6 pages)
