Emery, John Quincy, 1843-1928 "Albion Academy"

Albion Academy: Chartered in 1853 in Albion, Dane County, the school is chronicled here through photographs and the use of institutional records and memoirs. The article focuses almost exclusively on the period 1853-1890, and reviews the career of director Charles R. Head (1820-1906). It also includes lists of faculty and assistants, describes curriculum matters and gender relations, recounts fees and expenses of students, and contains a list of graduates who went on to prominence.
