Youmans, Theodora Winton, 1863-1932 "A pioneer church at Prospect"

A Pioneer Church at Prospect: This is a short history of the Free-Will Baptist Church of New Berlin, in Waukesha County. The author uses its archives, newspaper accounts, and letters of members to describe its founding in 1840, and pays special attention to the role of the congregation’s women members. This chronological review focuses mostly on 1840-1870, and only lightly summarizes the period 1870-1925. (11 pages)
