Spencer Haven: This brief biography discusses the life of Spencer Haven (1868-1938) after coming to Wisconsin in 1890. Haven attended the University of Wisconsin and went on to practice law before serving as state librarian and then attorney general from 1918-1919. Haven was deeply interested in public education, serving on the school board in the city of Hudson and as curator for the Wisconsin Historical Society. (3 pages)
