An Old Indian Agency House at Portage: An account of why the Indian Agency House in Portage was originally built for Agent John Harris Kinzie (c.1803-) and his wife, Juliette Wolcott of Boston, and the efforts in the late 1920s by the Colonial Dames Society of Wisconsin to restore the home. The home served as a museum, and was one of a few historic homes owned by the Colonial Dames and the furthest west. (11 pages)
