In the Moon of Sugar Making: The author, a white woman who married Menominee athlete and musician Angus Lookaround (1893-1946), summarizes the history, folklore, and science of maple sugaring. She draws on her own personal knowledge of Indian sugaring practices and quotes from her long interview with Menominee elder Mitchell Waukau, as well as using published sources. (5 pages)
