March 2, 2018 - Media Advisory: The Wisconsin Historical Society to Introduce the Fox Valley Industrial Survey on Thursday, March 8
For Immediate Release
We would like to invite the media to join the Wisconsin Historical Society (Society) on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the History Museum at the Castle, as we give an exclusive introduction to the Fox Valley Industrial Survey. State Historic Preservation Officer, Jim Draeger will also give a short presentation about a similar successful project in Milwaukee.
This spring the Society will review pre-1975 industrial, warehouse, and mill buildings in Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah and Oshkosh to determine their eligibility for the National Register. We will also examine structures currently recorded in the Wisconsin Historic Preservation Database that fall within the scope of the project.
This small gathering and information session will be held at The History Museum at the Castle, 330 E. College Ave., Appleton, WI.
I’m including a media advisory below with more information and if you have any questions please let me know.
Please note this event is not open to the public.
We hope you can make this event.
