National History Day events are held each spring in every region of Wisconsin. Below you'll find dates and contact information for your region.

Wisconsin has eight National History Day regions based on county groupings. Your region is based on your school's location. Each region has a sponsoring institution and a regional coordinator, who coordinates the regional contest as well as provides an additional level of support to participating teachers.

Registration Deadline:

Wisconsin's national finalists receive specific registration information from the state coordinator at the state event.

Approximate cost for attending Nationals: 

$1700-$1800 for the one-week student Team Wisconsin travel package (includes coach bus, all meals, all  Team sightseeing and activities + residence hall + campus meal plan + National contest registration fees). Chaperone costs vary depending on arrangements.

Please note: * Entry limit refers to the number of entries that each school is allowed to send to the regional contest per category in each division. For example, in the exhibit category, a school is allowed to send 5 Junior Individual Exhibits, 5 Junior Group Exhibits, 5 Senior Individual Exhibits, and 5 Senior Group Exhibits, etc.
