Kaptein John Ingmundson
A three-quarter length studio portrait of John Ingmundson, a captain in Company E, 15th Wisconsin Infantry, in uniform with sword at his side. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Neshonoc, Wisconsin. On October 28, 1861 he was commissioned a captain on December 09, 1861, and on December 20, 1861, he was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 29. He was killed in the Battle of Stone River, near Murfreesboro, Tennessee on December 31, 1862. |
