Oscar Rennebohm as a Young Man
Oscar Rennebohm standing in front of the Badger Pharmacy on University Avenue. Behind him, across the street, the University of Wisconsin Physical Plant can be seen. Rennebohm purchased the bankrupt pharmacy in 1912 when he was still in his early 20s. He would eventually build it into a chain, Rennebohm Drug Stores, Inc., and Rennebohm, by then a wealthy man, went on to become governor of Wisconsin in 1947. |
