The original typewritten caption reads: "(Two views) Model 33 International motor truck equipped with oil tank owned by the Rochester (New York) Fuel and Feed Company, which is operating the truck for the Sunshine Oil Company. The truck had been in service only two weeks up to the time of taking the photographs, March 19, 1925. It is estimated that it travels on an average of 40 miles a day. The company operates only one heavy duty truck. It has five Fords which are employed in delivering feeds, etc. The International travels chiefly over hard roads, some of which are very rough. The company is conservative in its attitude as to overloads. The tank is painted orange while the hood and the lettering is blue. John Hogestyn, the driver, is a good mechanic and likes the way the truck operates. He said it was O.K." |
