Thirteen year-old Philip Lenhart of Madison, Wisconsin, sitting in his new and improved soap box derby car. In the 1950 Madison race held on July 23, 1950, Philip was the runner-up in the class A division (13-15 year olds) and won a sports jacket from Olson & Veerhuseun men's clothing store. |
