Head and shoulders oval portrait of Jens Anderson, a private in Company I, Wisconsin 15 Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He held residence in Chippewa, Wisconsin. On December 14, 1861, he enlisted and was mustered into service on February 12, 1861, in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 18. He survived the war and was mustered out of service on February 10, 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
