Additional Information: | 1982 DESCRIPTION: This newly restored Late Picturesque style residence consists of two stories plus an attic and a brownstone foundation. The central block of the house has a hip roof from which projects a front end gable with a return cornice and a decorative bargeboard. A side gabled projection extends from SE side. A polygonal one story sunporch extends from NE side. A fancy entry veranda is intact and features decoratively turned columns. The two stories and attic are distinguished from one another by the small projecting continuous molding. The interior is luxuriously fitted with hardwood floors, an elaborately carved stairwell with original bannister and newel post and the interior rooms have much of their original woodwork. Some rooms were altered by additions at rear of house made in keeping with house's style. House was moved to this site. |
