2016 - One-story Contemporary brick and stone sheathed building with flat roof and irregular massing. Central portion of the building features a multi-part original window. 2025: The Contemporary style building is positioned north of the intersection of N Jackson and E Erie Streets. The property is defined by a concrete sidewalk to the west, a parking lot to the north, and grass to the south and east. The single-story building has an irregular plan composed of a main block, and an ell positioned near the north end of the northeast façade. The southeast corner of the building recesses slightly and is clad in Permastone. The northwest façade is concrete block, and the rest of the building is sheathed in red brick. The main block is sheltered by a flat roof and the ell is sheltered by a lower flat roof. The main, southeast façade has a metal and glass door at the west end, and a nine-lite picture window at the east end which has three additional lites that wrap the corner. A permastone clad garden bed is positioned below the picture window. The northeast elevation has a steel pedestrian door flanked by two one-over-one sashes. Two concrete steps lead to a concrete stoop and access the door. A third one-over-one window is positioned on the main block, north of the ell. The ell has a window on the south elevation and a steel door on the north elevation. The northwest façade has a one-over-one window at the east end and a steel door with transom towards the west end. The southwest facade has a central four-lite window and is flanked by two awning windows to the north and one to the south. The Contemporary style building was constructed in 1956. Preliminary research does not suggest any potential significance under Criterion A: History, or Criterion B: People. Under Criterion C: Architecture, the building is a typical example of its style of which there are many across the city. Other similar buildings include 712-714 E Brady Street (AHI 98919), 1122 N Edison Street (AHI 113198), Rudolph Kuper building at 1834 W Wisconsin Avenue (AHI 113861), and Dr. B. L. Chapman building at 1124 W State Street (AHI 115238). The building is recommended not eligible for listing in the NRHP.
