Additional Comments
WIDE OVERHANGING EAVES W/ SCROLL CUT BRACKETS. WOOD SHINGLED DORMER AND GABLET. ALTERED 1ST FLR WINDOWS. ALUMINUM SIDED PORCH IS PROBABLY A LATER ADDITION. THE LUTHERAN PARSONAGE IS SIGNIFICANT UNDER CRITERION C AS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF VERNACULAR RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE IN MERRILL, AND AS A CONTRIBUTING RESORUCE IN THE EAST THIRD STREET RESIDENTIAL HISTORIC DISTRICT. IN 1901 WILLIAM H. NELSON DESIGNED A TWO-STORY BRICK VENEER PARSONAGE AT 906 EAST THIRD STREET. REHFELD AND HESTERMAN DID THE STONE AND BRICK WORK, WHILE HENRY HESTERMAN COMPLETED THE CARPENTRY.
