A 'site file' exists for this property under the name "Shaw Point Historic District." It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Fifield’s Cottage, also known as Cottage 1, is a one-story log cabin located west of the lodge. Samuel Fifield and his wife, Stella, resided here when they ran Camp Stella. After the Andersen family purchased the abandoned camp in the 1930s, it became Fred Andersen’s cabin when the family visited the island. It continues to be used as a seasonal residence for descendants of the Andersen family.
