| Additional Comments | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. 2020: Resurveyed - altered appearance; 1.5-story former schoolhouse; brick cladding; asphalt-shingled side gable roof; central projecting entry bay with gabled canopy over door; original hipped roof changed to side gable roof with dormers; large 1-story flat roofed rear addition. 2022: Appearance unchanged. A large, one-story addition was added along the east (rear) elevation in 1959. The building served as an elementary school from 1908 to 1992. In 1996-1997, it was converted into residential and commercial space by Kris Stone, who operated Kris’ Custom Sewing in the building for nearly three decades. |
