Additional Comments This home was built in circa 1939 for William H. and Madge Stare, as well as their daughter, Mary, who was a teacher. William was born in Texas in 1879 and worked as a salesman for a coal company. He lived in the house into the 1960s and died in 1967. The house was designed by Allen Wallsworth, who was educated at the Chicago Art Institute and worked with Jarvis Hunt and the firm of Thielbar & Fugard before serving as the City of Milwaukee architect in the early 1960s.

2011- "Two-stories in height, this International-style house is covered with stucco and topped with a low-pitched hipped roof. A single-story, flat-roof garage is attached to the house's n01th sidewall. It is topped with a balcony roof encircled by a metal railing. A single-story, hipped-roof block extends from the house's south faryade and is outfitted on all sides by a continuous bank of four-light casement windows with horizontal muntins. Three-light casements define the other facades and the upper story at each corner feature pairs of wraparound, three-light examples.
