1861 - (Civil War) 13th Wisconsin Infantry Musters In

The 13th Wisconsin Infantry mustered in on this day. After training for three months, it left Wisconsin for Leavenworth, Kansas, on January 18, 1862. During its service it would move through Missouri, Kentucky, Alabama, and Tennessee. The regiment would lose 193 men during service. Only 5 enlisted men died from combat, but 188 succumbed to disease.

1970 - President Nixon Visits Green Bay
