Chew On: Newsletter of the Common Market Food Buying Co-op

Common Market was a consumer-owned food co-operative in Madison, Wis., during the 1970s. Its newsletter kept members informed about the co-op's products and services, printed minutes of meetings of various governing committees, and included articles about politics, farming, and current events. Most of the mimeographed issues contain between 10 and 20 pages. Due to the poor quality of the printing, searches of the text are unlikely to be complete or accurate. Common Market also published a 34-page pamphlet about the co-op that is available elsewhere in Turning Points in Wisconsin History.
