Compiled under the direction of the Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin, William Arnon Henry's guide champions the economic promise of northern Wisconsin to potential settlers. Offering profiles of successful settlers from a variety of cultural and occupational backgrounds, this guide sought to lure settlers northward by providing details on land and agricultural productivity.
