A bird's-eye-view of lakes and resorts in Waukesha County, ca. 1890

Oconomowoc, Waukesha and the lake region of Waukesha County, Wisconsin, all these lakes and resorts are within four hours ride of Chicago, on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway.


In order to promote their rail lines, many rail companies produced maps and guides to tourist destinations located along their routes. The Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railway produced this bird's-eye-view of Wisconsin in the 1890s, showing all of the lakes and resorts within four hours of Wisconsin.
