Wisconsin State Capitol Interior — Office of SHSW Librarian | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
Minnie Oakley, assistant librarian of the Wisconsin Historical Society, seated at her desk in the South Wing of the Wisconsin State Capitol. This photograph, combined with a similar portrait of Emma Hawley, suggests that librarians included aprons in their work wardrobes. This round portrait was taken by Reuben Gold Thwaites, secretary of the Historical Society and an avid amateur photographer, using the popular Kodak 2 format.
