Three members of the much-decorated 32nd Division manning a machine gun emplacement in New Guinea. They are, left to right: Lawrence Leishman of Peoria, Illinois; Corporal Rodney C. Reimar of Manitowoc; and Pvt Marin Denueli of Cumberland, Wisconsin. The 32nd Division was originally a National Guard unit comprised of men from Wisconsin and Michigan, and during World War II it expanded to include units from many states. |
