The original caption reads: "A D-300 (117-inch wheelbase) owned by the City of Santa Ana, Calif., for rubbish disposal. Santa Ana is the County Seat of Orange County. Since this was bought, the next largest city in Orange County, Anaheim, has bought a similar unit. Both sides of the body are hinged about half-way down, having a front and rear section so that one portion of the body may be loaded from either side without extremely high lift. The whole load may be dumped out the rear like a regular dump body." |
