Studio Portrait of Three Ho-Chunk Men
Three unidentified men in a mix of contemporary and Ho-Chunk clothing. The man sitting on the right is wearing beads and a necklace made of large German silver medallions. The Ho-Chunk have always been metal workers, having made ornaments, armor, and functional objects from the lead and copper they mined, and later using trade metals. |
