Mill Number Two of the American Tread Company. The English Sewing Company purchased the Willimantic Linen Company England mills in 1898 and formed the American Thread Company. The company reached its height in the early 20th century, and became the largest factory in Connecticut and the largest thread mill in North America. Caption reads: "American Thread Co.
