Two men stand by a wagon on which is written "A.L. Dahl Landscape Photographer." The photographer stands on the left side of the view. The flag on the side of Dahl's wagon is a souvenir of the Philadelphia Centennial International Exhibition of 1876. A wrought iron fence surrounds the Capitol Park. This Capitol building, viewed from West Washington Avenue, was erected in 1857 and replaced in 1913. Caption on stereograph reads: "Centennial Views of Madison, July 4, 1876." |
